Carolyn Lauzon

Dr. Carolyn Vea Lauzon serves as Deputy Director of the Artificial Intelligence and Technology Office in the Department of Energy where she focuses on strategic coordination of AI activities across the Department and on building DOE partnerships across sectors to accelerate DOE AI capabilities and American AI leadership. Carolyn also served in the DOE Office of Science, Advanced Scientific Computing Research, supporting stewardship of DOE high performance computing and advanced networking capabilities for Science. Before joining federal service, Carolyn completed her post doctoral fellowship in Computational Medical Image Analysis at Vanderbilt University and received her PhD in Molecular Biophysics from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
