Raed Mansour

photo of Raed MansourRaed Mansour is the Director of the first Office of Innovation at the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) where he uses a health equity lens to be a catalyst for building a culture of innovation and create long-lasting transformational improvements in public health. He works on building capacity through unique collaborations with the community, nonprofits, businesses, academia and government for CDPH’s public health initiatives in urban and data science, app development and program improvement. Some of these innovations include food safety forecasting, lead paint hazard predictions, food poisoning reporting using social media, data visualizations, using remote earth observations for air quality and developing several city resource finder apps.

Raed earned a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University in Neurobiology and Animal Physiology, a Master of Science in Health Communication from Boston University and a Certificate in Predictive Analytics from DePaul University.
