Commercialization of Research Short Course

The Energy Foundry and Argonne are offering a short course on Commercializing Research for postdocs. The course will have 4 sessions covering topics such as why commercialization in research is important, major steps and Argonne-specific resources for entrepreneurs. View the list of topics to be covered here.

The lead instructors are Nik Rokop, Industry Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at IIT, Peter Slawniak, Intellectual Property Attorney with Argonne’s Legal department. Several guest speakers will also contribute to the course.

Please register for the classes–4 consecutive Mondays in November over lunch time–through the this Google Form.

About Kristene Henne

Kristene “Tina” Henne is Argonne’s Postdoctoral Program Lead for the Argonne Leadership Institute. In this role, she facilitates the postdoc appointment process, postdoc career development, mentoring, advises the Postdoctoral Society of Argonne and serves as a navigator for postdoctoral issues. Henne has a Ph.D. in biological sciences from Purdue University, a B.S. in biology from Governors State University, and an A.A.S. in radiography from Kankakee Community College. She came to Argonne as a postdoctoral researcher in the Biosciences Division in 2009 and became a program coordinator in 2011.
