Come unlock the doors to your future with Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day.
We encourage all eligible participants to apply to Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day. All applicants must be in eighth grade and need to complete the online application. The online registration site is open now and will close on December 23, 2016. Space for the event is limited and participants will be selected by a lottery system. Due to the popularity of the event, there is a limit of two girls per school. The students selected for the event will be notified by email of their acceptance.
Students are responsible for their own transportation to Argonne National Laboratory, and should arrive no later than 8:15 am. For directions to Argonne, please visit here. The day will end at 4:00pm, at which time all students can be picked up. Parents and guardians are invited to attend the closing ceremony at 3:45 pm. All students attending the conference must wear long pants and close toed shoes due to Argonne’s safety regulations. A lunch and mid-day snack will be provided for all participants. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate everyone’s dietary needs. If students have special food needs (allergies, gluten free, etc.) please bring a snack and lunch from home.
