SBIR FY21

CABLE SBIR/STTR (Fiscal Year 2021)

The CABLE SBIR/STTR program began with Fiscal Year 2021 topics issued in November of CY 2020. The joint CABLE topic (see https://www.sbir.gov/node/1862433) was a collaboration among the EERE offices of Advanced Materials and Manufacturing, Building Technologies, Geothermal Energy, Solar Energy, and Vehicle Technologies. Also included in the joint topic was DOE’s Office of Electricity. The eight subtopics for the CABLE topic were:

  1. CABLE Materials Manufacturing
  2. Application: Electricity Delivery Systems
  3. Application: Non-metallic Heat Exchangers
  4. Application: Ice Storage and Thermal Storage
  5. Application: Generators and Motors
  6. Application: Photovoltaics Modules and System Electrical Connections
  7. Application: Geothermal Direct Use and Electricity Generation
  8. Application: Electric Vehicle Charging Cables and Couplers

The Phase I awardees of the Fiscal Year 2021 Release 2 competition are shown in the table below.
