Cluster Surface Interaction Workshop 2016

Welcome to Cluster Surface Interaction Workshop 2016 (CSI 2016)

CSI 2016 is the latest in a series of topical international conferences on clusters on surfaces which began in Rostock in 1996. These conferences have been held in Europe every two years for 20 years, and this will be the first time that it will be held in the US. The CSI workshop has been one of the principle venues for discussion of results in the areas of cluster deposition, fundamental studies of surfaces decorated by small clusters, and materials and devices prepared by cluster deposition or implantation.

The scientific program will include 28 invited lectures, 8 invited hot topic talks, talks selected from abstract submissions, posters available during all breaks and a poster session, and plenty of time for discussion.

Topics

The themes of the workshop will include

  • Deposition of well-defined clusters on surfaces, advances in cluster synthesis, assembly, catalysis, electrochemistry, energy storage, imaging, magnetism, photonics, reactivity, sensors (chemical, biological), spectroscopy
  • Theoretical modeling of the properties of supported clusters
