Consistency is Key

Exercise: consistency is key

According to the American Council on Exercise, consistency is key to a well-rounded exercise routine. It is better to be active throughout the week with 30 to 60 minutes of exercise a day, five days a week, rather than concentrating all of your physical activity into one long workout session each week.

Exercising just once a week increases the risk of injury — and by the time your next workout session comes along, you will have lost the benefits you gained the week before. Consistency also helps make exercise a habit.

The Argonne Exercise Club offers aerobic, strength training and flexibility exercises, Monday through Friday at 11:40 a.m. to 12:25 p.m. in Building 200, K131.
