Xiaoyu (Andy) Wang has joined Separation Science group as a postdoctoral appointee. Andy received his PhD of chemical engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology with Prof. Sohail Murad on the topic of “Using Computational Molecular Modeling to Study Transport Processes of Interest in Separations”. After that, he moved to University of Notre Dame, working as a postdoctoral research associate, mentored by Profs. Edward Maginn and William Schneider on the topic of designing materials, including zeolites, deep eutectic solvents and ionic liquids. His main research expertise is using the molecular dynamics modeling method to investigate materials and provide molecular level understandings.
