Derrick Poe has joined the Separation Science group as a postdoctoral appointee. Derrickās previous work focused on developing and manufacturing novel proteomic analysis tools for a biotech startup. This was followed by a return to academia, where his research focused on using molecular dynamics and quantum mechanical simulations to probe molecular-level structure and dynamics of deep eutectic solvents and candidate redox molecules to be used as a breakthrough electrolyte for next generation flow batteries.
