Veterans Day Fair
Each Veterans Day, our ERG hosts an event to recognize and celebrate our Argonne Veterans. Past Veterans Day activities included free lunch for veterans and resource booths from partnering organizations.
Lemont VFW Food Drive
Twice a year, on Memorial Day and on Veterans Day, we host food drives sponsored by the Lemont VFW. Donations gathered go to help the local Veteran community. To see more about the Lemont VFW, click here.
The University of Chicago Event
Argonne National Laboratory is closely connected to the University of Chicago. Each year, the University of Chicago’s Veterans group hosts a large “Vet Week”, featuring minority populations of veterans, including female veterans, veterans with service-connected injuries and illnesses, service members and veterans who openly serve and identify with the LGBTQIA+ community, and deported US veterans.
