Well, Happy New Year All,

It’s been a while since I had the time to sit and bring things up to date.  Didn’t help being off sick the past week.  But now it’s back to business.

The first order of business is to announce the results of the election.  Looks just like last year in that there was only one nomination and that was for the president’s position, so the others were kind enough to agree to run for another term.  As there were absolutely no votes it’s going to be business as usual.

I have called a board meeting for next Wednesday and I have a list of things I want to see us work on this year.  First among them is some sort of membership drive to get some new blood into the group.  There will be much more to come out of that meeting and I will report on that end of next week.  Between now and then if you have suggestions for the board email them to [email protected] and I will include them on the agenda for discussion.  Thanks to all of you who have sent in your new year membership forms and you generous contribution to the club.

Congratulations to Rich Vitt on upgrading to General last week!!  We’lll have to get him on the HF rig in the EOC at lunchtime one of these days soon.  As of this morning, the officers will be emailed when ever there is mail sitting at the post office.  This way we’ll know some one has to swing by there to pick it up.  One little improvement at a time.
