Thursday evening we took the repaired repeater to it’s new home in the Lab’s radio room where we were given an entire rack to use for the repeater. The day before several of us moved the cans and echolink computer into the rack, waiting for the repeater to be returned. Now they are all back and hooked up again.
It is suspected that the repeater isn’t putting out it’s full 50 watts but we didn’t have a power meeter to test it. We will return on Monday to check into that. Echolink is not yet back on line as they have to move our network and telephone lines to the new location and that isn’t scheduled until some time next week. So far I’ve heard several good signal reports for the repeater even if it is only on low power. More on our progress as it happens.
