A New Year

Happy New Year,
My name is Bob McComb/ N9MBR I will be the new president of the club for the next year. I have worked here at the lab for the last 23 years. And have been a ham for the past 22 years. I hold a General class ticket. And I am a contester at heart. But I also enjoy tinkering with a lot of the different digital modes when time permits.
I was an AARC member for about 8 or 9 years in the 90’s but let my membership laps. About 2 years ago I decided to see what was happening with the club. What I found was a club in need of some help. So I started volunteering whenever there was a problem or a project that needed to be done. A short while later I became a board member. Then when Tim/N9UEB retired from the lab and was not able to stay on as the president of the club. I volunteered again. Hopefully I will be able to do as good a job keeping this great club going as our past president Tim has done.
I am proud to be the President of the Argonne Amateur Radio Club and hope I serve the members well in 2014.
73 for now
Bob/N9MBR
