The 8th Annual DOE Mile is here! Sixteen labs are participating this year, with over 1300 participants expected. In 2019, Argonne had the fastest male runner among them, do we have what it takes to do it again? As you may remember from last year, results are tabulated in cross country scoring, divided into gender and run/walk categories. Both Virtual and In-Person participation is allowed. The event is open to employees, spouses and dependents.
Winners will receive 500 Virgin Pulse points! All Argonne employee participants will receive 100.
Virtual
- Complete between May 1-7
- Make sure to use an app to validate the time and distance
- Please capture just 1 mile (the scoring gets difficult if it’s part of a longer run/walk)
- By May 10th, submit your results with pictures to https://forms.office.com/g/KvChnKkTQb
In Person
- The event will start at noon on May 3rd, on the south side of Bldg. 212.
- Please park in the Bldg 212 lot and sign in by the finish line
- As a group you will walk up to the start (map attached), with the horn blast around 12:10
- The course has been measured by the white line on the pavement, please use caution rounding the corners
- RAINOUT Date is May 4th, a decision will be made by 9 on the 3rd if it’s necessary
