This Morning Bob McComb – N9MBR and I went up to the repeater site to investigate the reason that the repeater is ‘IDing’ after every transmission and why it’s been dropping out in mid transmission. We found that every time it IDs or transmits, the power is dropping out at the end of every transmission which is then resetting the repeater. We tried switching the AC source to the UPS that the Echolink computer is on with no change in operation. We also noticed that the Big UPS that the rack was hooked to no longer was working so we disconnected all our gear from it and turned it off. I’m going to try and set up an emergency meeting of the Board to discuss our options for the repeater. In the mean time Bob is going to take a 10 amp – 12 volt power supply up to the repeater and we will try and power the unit through it’s battery input to see if that isolates the AC power supply as the problem. More to follow as it develops. Have a great weekend!!
