Calling For A Presentation For A General After Hours Meeting,

We are looking for someone to do a short presentation at an upcoming off hours meeting. I’ve put out a call for volunteers earlier but so far no one has stepped up. If I can’t find anyone to do a presentation I will have to have a meeting just to discuss what’s been happening to the club and repeater in the past 4 months. Please consider helping out to make it a more interesting meeting!!

We have completed the move of the repeater into it’s new home and all seems to be working well. I have heard a few reports about Echolink being too hot but I’ve run the full range of adjustments at the repeater without reported change. The fact that the problem seems to only affect a few individuals would suggest the problem is on their end some how. I’m open to suggestions!! The club bought and we’ve installed a rack mounted Bird power meter at the repeater sight. Now at a glance we can confirm the status of the repeater’s output and the status of the antenna system. Thanks to Bob N9MBR for making that happen. The Board has been discussing buying another repeater to use as a spare. This would also allow us to switch back and forth between the two to do maintenance, which we haven’t been able to do without shutting down the repeater. I would also like to suggest the possibility of offering a Technician class for interested individuals looking to get into Ham Radio. We can discuss this at the hopefully soon to happen meeting. Please be sure to contact us with any comments or suggestions on any of this. [email protected]
