We are at this time filing the paperwork with ARRL to get the club re-affiliated in order to meet our agreement as stated in the MOU between AARC and the Argonne EOC. As a part of this process, I have gone through all the membership applications for the past 3 years and marked up the ‘Members – Members’ drop down tab on this page to indicate the latest application year and affiliation status with ARRL. Please check for your name and the date and status and let me know if any changes are needed. We need at least 51% of our active members to be ARRL members and as of now we are very close. Several of you have offered to rejoin ARRL to help out and I encourage you to consider doing the same. Thanks and please pass the word.
On a different topic, several of us are working to promote the visibility of the club in an attempt to promote new membership. Jay VonOsinski – KC9IPH is putting together a flyer to help in this effort and we hope to in the near future man a table at the cafeteria to recruit and hand out these flyers. Dave Jacque has offered to help in this effort as well and brings much experience in such things. Dave’s the PIO on EOC team 3 and Manager Internal Communications here at the Lab in the CEP division. Watch for more on this effort in upcoming posts.
